Small fun fact about Sprigatito that I just felt like sharing:
"Gato" means "Cat" in spanish. We use -ito at the end of a word as a diminutive (Basically like saying Thing -> Thingy). So "Gatito" is basically "Kitty" in spanish.

Based on Sprigatito's prominent face fluff and the region Gen 9 is based on, really thinking/hoping it evolves into a lynx. A plants-as-ear-tufts concept would be super cute too...🌿

I see so many posts on my feed going on about Sprigatito. I'm happy for you guys but this one's for me...
Two out of the three starters have Spanish words used in their pun names. The water starter Sprigatito has "gatito" which means kitten, and Fuecoco is a portmanteau of "fuego" (fire) and Cocodrilo (guess).
The duck is Donald Duck, a Spanish mythological beast.
Fun fact: I've never chosen the Grass Starter in ANY Pokémon game, period. But this year might finally be the time to do it cause... SPRIGATITO MY BELOVED
