Ah yes, classic. My favourite example is Rob Liefeld's "Glory". Left is the OG, on the right we see her new appearance under new writers. And yes, this is the "same" character, just rebooted.

From Image originally (Jim Lee's Wildstorm studio) but DC bought the studio years ago so now I think DC owns the character. She was in the Gen13 comics. Well worth checking out! (But skip the 2000's Gail Simone reboot!)
