There is a swamp realm but I don't know if they wear armor!

They DO have the coolest castle on show, because it.. uh.. moves around. Nobody knows where it's at. Actually, I think they don't even have knights at all so armor would be a no-go.

oh shit. i actually DO need to make swerve shorter than minimus because his irriducible form looks distinctly different than his outer armor and i always draw the one with the shoulder pads and i dont think he would pull up tothe club just. naked.

I think you're right that it is a part of the genre, but I also think it really depends on the artist. The artist of To Your Eternity have the best designs (and writing) of women hands down. Look at hayase. Your eyes are drawn to her armor then to her face and body. /c
