In their year in review special, CNN said this was a "weak year" for animation.

They're insane.

THE MITCHELLS VS. THE MACHINES
LUCA
&
ENCANTO
were all amazing! Animated movies that we'll be watching and rewatching-- and new audiences will be discovering-- for years and years!

Mahou Shoujo Madoka Magica [Rewatch] -
my favorite anime of all time. The story and big reveals are downright incredible. The soundtrack is one of my favorites of Kaijura. It may have some flaws but the pros outweighs those flaws that i just dont care about them

10/10

SAILOR MOON: SAILOR STARS (1996-1997)
34 episodes
genre: romance, magical girl
my MAL rating: 8/10

- last part of my SM rewatch
- never saw it til this year but it's my 2nd fave
- usagi & seiya >>> usagi & mamoru
- it feels fulfilling to have (re)watched the entire OG SM anime
