Gridman is different from Ultraman though. He combines with Assist Weapons to basically become a giant robot & basically wore power armour throughout SSSS.

Gridman also showed up in Mecha-centric video games like SRW 30 & Iron Saga. Gridman definitely counts as Mecha.
