My first attempt at “painting” instead of my usual style 👩🏽‍🎨 I even added the gradient color dots to keep it consistent for a while (until I messed with color curves lol)

Been wanting to give coloring with grayscale + gradient mapping a go for a long time now so I finally tried it out yesterday! After some experimenting I made this drawing of my OC Kyouya which I quickly brushed up today :) Total time +- 4 hours 🌸🌸

Fun colouring tip: Shading with gradients
Flat colours > darker colour gradient shade > 2 colour overlay
add shade and highlight as needed

It's a simple and fun (for me!) way to add depth to any illustration
