Alright! I have repaired the eye blendshapes!!! Took about 4 hours to do. Now I need to re-check every single blendshape and test them for bugs and then remake the blushes before VRM conversion. This helped me a lot in remembering how to cheat 3D blendshapes.

Then I put a new layer, everything is set to color at this point. Using/Remembering a reference I apply different tones to face, usually lowering the opacity so it blends with everything nicely.

Last night I finished rigging and correcting the new extra meshes so today I will focus on fixing the blendshapes for the model. Blendshapes are a pain but required. I hope it goes well and I hope the model will look 2D and pretty in the end!

I tried my hands on Corel Painter for the first time. I must say it is a super fun application for painting digitally. Do have a look, up close & you will notice the brush texture and the blends. This totally reminded me of drawing with crayons. 👶😍🙃🖍️

Just noticed how drab the black livery is on Elizabeth and how everything that’s dark grey or black blends in with one another. Going to be testing out a red livery based on the one Sierra 3 wore for the first two seasons of the show petticoat junction (minus the diamond stack)

Yeah all of these were drawn by Shunichi Ishimoto who's been an MVP member of the production team since first season. Since Part 5 he developed his own Jojo style that blends in into his most of his drawings nowadays
