CRT test on my third fake doom title screen, this time featuring Dusk.
Since I didn't use much dithering in this one the result isn't as striking.
I like this dusk dude but the background could use some touchups.
Thanks to @Mattias_G for the CRT filter.

@thedeivore @Cosmic_Void_ I think I first had success with that Dither for trees on the picture at the top of a muddy hill. Some of my earlier backgrounds are going to need some touching up in light of this😅
Here are closeups of Robin for reference. The dithering effect was intended to blend colors much like watercolor paints. https://t.co/0XKdomy7WV
eccedentesiast's fair maiden
very late b-day gift for someone special (yes, it's dither)
twitter messed up png compression for dithering on mobile viewing so i repost fixed also look at these
got the dither stage set up to quantize colors - next up is applying the dither patterns
dither looks better in smaller areas (shadows, details, etc) but not TOO small. It looks better where it feels more natural as a 'texture' too - like on the hair and her jacket here. It looks weirder as a primary color in skin, but it doesnt seem to bother me with the rest
however it does this in a pretty clumsy way, to the point where sometimes it'll skip a closer color with a less obvious dither in favor of a more precise mix of two high contrast colors ( creating a polkadot effect, like the hair here)
in this one, for the most part, any dithered colors are treated as a flat color - shadows will swap out one or both of the colors, or sometimes switch out the light for dark, whatever, but for the most part every block of color is a single color, not a gradient for example
@voidflame Also what's cool you can add posterize/index colors as filter layer, with dither pattern under and it will dither whole image in real time
I was gonna post a screenshot of armor for Nightdrift but I also did this which I thought was neet so
Fixed some issues like block of light on face and removed the dithering on left leg
Dithered background instead of gradients. :T

@gapingmaws you can also use bayer dithering instead of the pixelate function and that will often get that kinda pc98 look, but remembering to use dithering either way is huge
