I work almost exclusively in procreate, but I love the unpredictability of real world textures. They can breathe just a little extra bit of life into a piece 🌊. Can you recognize which piece if paper I used for the background 🧐?

Embracing textures.

I used rough watercolor paper with a gesso layer for this, and, at first, really struggled with it. Now I'm going all in on patterns and trying out new blending techniques. 🙂

Getting out of my comfort zone might be good, who would have thought!

Over half of the models for this level are done now.
It's slow going with life difficulties (surgery and a house move soon) but the rest should be done in a month or two.
Maybe less, depends on how quick my recovery is!
