Diplomoceras are ancient cephalopods with extremely elongated shells that were 2 metres across (4 metres when accounting for shell winding). They lived during the Cretaceous & had a worldwide distribution.

So today I learned there's a species of cephalopods called Nautilus, that are cousins to the squid and octopus. Naturally, i decided to doodle Nautilus-ling !
I like to think that they are slower than inklings in battle, but the helmet makes them more durable!
