Classic & Modern for me aren't separated entities. I've never seen them as the "younger self" or "other dimension self" just them, despite the obvious difference of design. I've always seen the modern design as an "upgrade" to the classic. Sonic is Sonic, be it Classic/Modern.

Happy 10 years to Remedial Chaos Theory! It may not be my favorite Community episode, but it most certainly deserves all the praise it gets. It is a top tier episode and a classic.
