I’ll try my best to design it the way it looks like how designing Azuki so perfect (such details like changing a tone if you have specific background colour, etc)

What I've noticed when I do backgrounds, I tend to base it off of either: the characters most prominent colour, or the lighting/palette
Like, if the character and the lighting is both warm I choose whatever it vaguely mirrors on the colour wheel for the bg

I sketch on blue, then red, and any special details in pink. Then i do lineart. Then base colour, and buikd details. Any extras like flowers and grass are usually last.
