Dan Dare
I was always a big fan of arcade adventures and this is one of the C64’s best. Beautiful, colourful cartoon graphics, a wonderful comic-book atmosphere, plenty of humour and varied & absorbing gameplay make Dan Dare a fantastic game.

Starquake
This excellent arcade adventure is great fun thanks to its brilliant design & instantly addictive gameplay. Lovely sprites (esp. the cute B.L.O.B.), ace graphics, excellent controls, & super playability make Starquake a super star!

Accolade absolutely killed it with this excellent sleuthing game. With its superbly polished presentation, ace cartoon graphics, bags of humour, & atmospheric, original & engrossing gameplay - Killed Until Dead is brilliant.

Green Beret
WOOOH! WOOOH! Green Beret is a run and gun game with the action taking place horizontally rather than (Commando, Ikari etc) vertically. With great graphics, ace Galway tunes & exciting gameplay, it’s an excellent arcade conversion.

Bounder
Another brilliantly original and innovative game, Bounder took the platform game format and turned it on its head – quite literally. With nice graphics, funky tunes and super addictive gameplay, Bounder is challenging but loads of fun.

Chapter 2 sees the use of raster images in the background in addition to the usual vector graphics, as my poor PC struggles to cope with the amount of vector shapes and effects needed to make a decent cloud effect.
No complaint though - very happy with how these two turned out.

Commando
Commando could’ve been one of the C64’s greats, but it falls just short. It’s a very good game – nice graphics, amazing tunes & great gameplay - but a few bugs & having only 3 levels let it down. Still, a fun little shoot 'em down.
