Today's meow. trying out some moody lighting.

I..did not expect to finish anything this week. But, here we are.

Background is improvised, and I wanted to try a super high contrast with backlighting. Not sure if I will ever do this look again cause it is a little too harsh for my taste. But I felt like trying it so...there.

HOW HAVE I NOT MENTIONED @ennvees UNTIL NOW?? This is so embarrassing.

I love her art so much! He never fails when it comes to lighting. And the way they shade Dream's cheeks?? HIS FRECKLES?? ARE YOU SEEING THIS??? HIS NOSE. Ennvee is so cool istg.

@Danteeclair idk if i can be much help because i almost exclusively use warm tones whenever i draw him. i find dark grays more difficult to find complementary colors and this gives you more to work with when it comes to shadows and lighting. even they "whites" arent actually white

I edited one of my old requests that I drew for someone in 2019 with a slightly more intimate lighting. It's Akiza Izinski and Mai Valentine from YuGiOh. (Note: I am no longer taking requests at this time.)

@8bit2eek Uhh it's so always so chaotic haha. Trying to find idea in sketch and colour palette, figuring out lighting. (Trying to focus in colours and light in my work tho)then base shadows and chaotic rendering untill i like the result lol

made a goal at the beginning of the yr to start making my art more interesting b cuz last yr I had a huge habit of only drawing headshots... at the same angle .... with no lighting.... IT WAS TERRIBLE💀.

I was also experimenting with different color schemes and lighting. Thought I wouldn't be able to pull it off, but I kinda liked the result 😌

If I can say something positive about the Windows version of Giten, is that it improved the art of the CGs, they look much cleaner and have better lighting.
I love this art so much, in PC-98 looks sterile in comparison, but I don't think it's bad either
