Okay, but in all seriousness though, non-human characters can be interpreted as being black-coded, or interpreted as a specific race even if they're in a fictional setting.

Actually Precure in Japan is known to include a non-human magical girl or two sometimes! In Tropical Rogue, they have a mermaid, in Hugtto, they have a robot, and in Star Twinkle, they have an adorable alien named Lala. I'd love to see your series!!
