I really pushed myself on this piece and had to learn how to render lots of new things, most notably the light refraction under and on top of the water. There are lots of things I wish I'd done differently, but I learned a lot from it

finally moving forward, had great trouble with understanding this lesson about refractions n glass and other special effects and I still can't explain everything but all in all it's cool to be able to paint semi-plausible glass like this from imagination (bg by sam nielson)
