A collab between J and I; my sketch and a bunch of texturing, her edits and shading.

This was a ton of fun to work on because basically, we just passed the PSD file back and forth and added more and more to it.

Collabs are awesome and I miss them.

If I’m drawing poc everything is so much clearer and I can work with lighting in ways I normally find difficult.

But if I’m drawing a white character? My eyes hurt, I can’t tell what I’m doing, and I just guess with shading.

I’m white af, my best works are poc characters

Not really a fan of blending shading.

But sometimes I make silly edits to practice it.

Comic is in B&W, so I use a 14% black layer for the shading. Easy.
In colour, I’m experimenting. For the brunette, I just picked my colours. For the blond’s skin, dark base + lit parts in pink on an add layer with manual blurring of some edges, then a peachy layer on top to tint.

It’s been too long. I’m trying to get back into doodling in MS Paint again. Have an Elizabeth and Neco Arc. Also been fooling around with the clipdrop relight software since I’m garbage at lighting and shading.

Very slowly coloring this next would be shading.. so I did some quick effect shading in the mean while 🙃
Eyes are somewhat dark but never the less it makes everything pop 😌💜
