Honestly, it's not unlikely. For example, in the book there is this weird sauropod named Asperdorsus, with spines coming out from the neck, back and tail and looks like something that you'd call edgy. Then there is Bajadasaurus.

I'm normally a spotted skunk dragon, but I sometimes turn into a dragon version of the pokemon, nidoran. Included is my "nidoragon" reference, alongside a reference of a regular nidoran so you can see my spines. Would also like to be wearing my glasses.

Portrait of my friend's older Lightning Maroon Clownfish nestled in a soft bubble tip anemone. Their cheek spines were much more pronounced than the ones on my younger clown, makes me wonder how much it plays into defense.
