to him, eggman losing his memories and becoming mr tinker doesn’t make him redeemable for being a terrorist. and sonic had to get through to shadow to argue that he’s basically in the same boat bc of him being eggman’s accomplice during SA2.

the thing with mr tinker is its interesting bc mr tinker is basically eggman with amnesia but he becomes a nice person. shadow doesn’t want to believe that bc of what eggman did in forces by conquering 99.9% of the world and can’t simply shrug off all that devastation.
