The Belarusian People's Republic, was a failed attempt to create a Belarusian state during the end of WWI & beginning of the Russian Civil War. Its existed from 1918 to 1919.

I happened upon a bright-red cardinal while out grocery shopping a few weeks back, not having known that they even existed before then. It's the perfect bird to draw!

I haven't tried a painterly style before, so this was new to me, but really fun.
