Anyway, I do know for certain I want the setting to have a nordic viking feel, as well as also take inspiration from some classical fantasy art (see attached). Admittedly the feeling is a bit tricker to come across with a D&D campaign, but it is worth it I think.

Kubo sprinkled in dialogue, looks & gestures which are more apparent in the Manga. It does a better job hinting at foul play & setting up Aizen as key. Even if you figure him out early, you feel all his scenes more & enjoy the reveal for the characters.👌🏽
