Working on a new cartoon. I'm in the middle of coloring and rending it. I showed a friend/colleague the rough (grayscale) sketch. He told me some would consider that a final, not a rough.

I gotta figure out a way to draw less or draw faster.

high CFG scale doesn't always give you stylish pop art. dynamic thresholding can hugely repair an image.

CFG scale 20. left is what you'd usually get.
salvaged the dynamic range by thresholding the latents on every samping step.

sometimes i prefer the look of the quick greyscale shadings i do, they just feel right?
fits the "i didnt waste too much time on it, it's wonky but good enough"

OK - I understand. I certainly agree with you that those crests are very different to what we see in birds and we shouldn't assume they're the same. I've wondered if the bumps along the top of some crests (e.g. Yutyrannus) are scale correlates, given the anatomy of other tyrants.

It doesn't always have to be the latest model. Even with the old models you can still get quite interesting results. Here I used sd-v1-1 with Steps: 150, Sampler: Euler a, CFG 10. Afterwards I enlarged the basic image in with SD upscale to 1440 🙃.
