another issue is making pokemon look too humanoid, and not in the right way. pokemon like inteleon are heading into uncanny valley. it wouldnt look as bad if it werent bipedal. compared to what could have been a swampert-tier evolutionary line, sobble was wasted potential.

many of the gen 8 designs, especially the 2nd evolutions, are inconsistent and underwhelming. yamper’s evolutionary line looks incomplete. boltund does looks like a 2nd stage, but it doesnt look like it was meant to end there. compared to manectric...
