really, the series is definitely worth a try - and not just for 'filling time till next pokemon'. it's like digimon, in that way - it's not actually quite a clone of pokemon. yo-kai watch is adjacent to nintendo's hit, but it's still doing its own thing, in story and in gameplay.
On top of this, the scarf was always there, but it was intended to be fluorescent green.
I believe @Lambent16bit took my first badge and made it yellowish instead. It stuck - I liked the contrast with the purple way more~
