"Orientalism" is a new buzzword thrown around to further try and claim things are bad for taking inspiration from other cultures. Even when it's those very cultures using those designs.

Something I also like about Taiwan was it's arcade culture. It being formerly occupied by Japan sure made it for an interesting mix of different cultures.

Im sure u know the movie alladin? Yeah her design is really heavily inspired from it but the problem is.. the movie designs were supposed to represent an arab county but they failed by maching up other cultures together it was an awful rep and sadly more games started doing it
