I have not had such low expectations for a show for them to be shattered so hard. It is goofy, but its funny moments genuinely make me laugh, and its serious moments draw me into it's intresting power system and world governed by numbers.

A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984). A classic. Saw it as a kid. Iconic concept, neat effects, stilted acting. Have mixed feelings about Freddy though. He's just so goofy, for no apparent reason. He should have been a killer clown to legitimize his wacky behaviour.
