Remembered the time I got to Sanctuary Fortress in Metroid Prime 2 and some visual details reminded me of Half-Life 2's Citadel, with the gray-brown metal and the use of glass panels in certain elements here and there.
Needless to say I loved both locations.

There's an official half-life 2d sidescroller that came out in 2004 but was delisted on steam because the developer shut down and I had no idea this existed until literally just right now. It was apparently originally planned to be a nintendo ds game
