Worn in 1789 to a Windsor Castle ball celebrating King George III's recovery from porphyria. The king designed the so-called Windsor Uniform, still worn today, accessorized here with a headdress reading “God Save the King,” painted by Ann Frankland Lewis.

folks joke about lace looking like a mushroom but i've been thinking seriously about her headdress. at first, i thought it was based on an escoffin, or hennin then i realised that it also reminded me of a cornette, which is a type of religious habit. though the one lace wears >>>

I made an NB character for a friend called Anudist and realized that I kept drawing them fully clothed so I thought I'd at least tone it down to a headdress and heels, oil them up..

Cone-shaped headdresses known as Hennins were worn by women of nobility in the late middle ages; a popular especially in Europe. Imagine these ladies passing through an entrance and forgetting to lower their heads. 1951 painting by Adalbert Pilch.

Opinion:
the Tlaxcallans were the real "Aztecs"!

They are often depicted as more proudly wearing the heron-bird of "Aztlan" on their headdresses, proudly calling out their origins from "Aztlan" ("Place of the watery fowl").

I haven't seen depictions of the Mexica doing this.

Watching TF Cyberverse this morning, I noticed Windblade's design for her headdress - it was sloped back more than previous designs. Enough that it had me thinking of another Transformer who used to be an Autobot...

So... What if Strika was part of her same group?
