#OTD 13th April 1855 Henry de la Beche died. He was a keen geologist and palaeontologist, working alongside Mary Anning. He drew one of the first Jurassic sea reconstructions, which included creatures Mary had discovered, and sold prints to financially support her later in life.

As a boy I was amazed at the work of Alan Sorrell. His reconstruction of Dirleton was the first image of its kind I ever saw. So I copied his techinque of boxing views a section at a time. I used (8 pence) Postcard images in 1981 then scaled up to A3 size (Tantallon example)
