Junco calls him Lark, he's a lowborn farm boy from the underdark and after an unfortunate upset, he made it top-side. Now they're tolerating eachother.

It's not comparing apples and oranges. It's a reasonable comparison. Uekawa still emotes and shows expressions with his style. She thinks his style still renders the characters (Amy in this case) on model and cute. Additionally, his style is the official "default" and the model.
