I had a dentist do almost the same thing. Had all my wisdom teeth pulled but 1 he said he could cap.

Then right before he caps it he tells me he isn't sure he can save it.

It breaks 2 weeks later, after I had paid out the nose to get the other 3 teeth pulled.
