New Vs Old
Making some good progress on the redesign. While she lacks the sassy feel of the old one, I feel like the look fits her character more in the story I made. Still working out a few more things, then onto the beeg coat :0

My advice is thus:
1. Aim for an art style that fits the characters.
2. When drawing realistic art, study photographic references
3. Limit your palette. Drowning in details is the rookie mistake of a novice. You don't need more colors than the picture calls for.
