I don't get Ruby's outfit upgrades. The jump from Gothic Lolita to pure Goth should imply hardening in some way. But nothing about her personality has changed. So why ditch the frilly Lolita elements of her design when she's barely grown?

Ruby's daemon is a ferret named Ember, shes very sensitive. Sapphire's is a ringneck snake called Polaris. Shes surprisingly mischivous. They touch each others daemons shamelessly.
