After necromancers, orcs, and Frankstein, thought I might do something a little more pretty for a change. Started with a sketch to rough in light and shadow (pic 2) and then smoothed out and refined the face. Rest of piece still only has the shadows sketched in

testing out the bezier curve on Drawpile to see how it goes doing lineart on it! and oh dear.... its not very fun. Sure, it's smoother, but it feels a lot less sincere when i do it that way. While my normal lineart style is rougher around the edges, but easier and a lot more fun.

YE i've pinpointed that i like the textured brush style (i used csp's darker pencil for the above pic, so more of a smoother marker thing?) ^^
but yeah i used the textured brush here, and i like this one as well ^^ it's just getting that balance

Other stories/sequels inbetween, but the next [maybe biggest?] highlight is Designing new characters, interpreting the series in my own style. Def a challenge; I was a lil hesitant at first, but I knew id regret passing on full art duties. Smoothest book ive worked on
