What about "Ada Wong no Irojikake Kanseiban", "Super Girl ni Osowareru!", "Jill Valentine", or "Godmilk - Vol. 1"? I did a quick skim and there doesn't seem to be monster in those...but only the first one really avoids any other kinds of unpleasant themes. >_<
