"...DC has painstakingly whitewashed Starfire into looking less and less black..."
Starfire was never Black to begin with! her design was inspired by Red Sonja, a White female comic book character.
DC threw Black people a bone by casting Anna to play her in that show. https://t.co/oQ9BEv2bVD
I need art advice/anatomy? advice-/gen

'World of Winx' comic covers that did not whitewash Flora and Aisha (1/6)
the vision... we could have had this instead of the whitewashed mess we got
So I was recently accused of whitewashed Kaeya in my recent fan art. I used the photos that you see as references, not as an actual pallette. There's a difference. As you can see obviously my art is darker than official in game, and mihoyo art of Kaeya. So how did I whitewash?
The mcu has continuously Whitewashed characters including, both of The Maximoffs, The Ancient one in doctor strange and America Chavez, (and technically vision )
The fact that they made bad batch in crappy mobile game look more like Tem, than in the fucking cartoon
The Fuck?

@FatimaComics when they were teasing the series a key studio member even posted this cover from her solo, a book that openly talks about her romani heritage and its importance to her journey. they read it, took inspiration, and then discarded the parts that wouldn’t fit her whitewashing.
