Anyway if you're interested in manga that are definitely female-oriented with the sensibilities/expression that flourished in that demo, but that are cross-genre and therefore more accessible to men skeptical about stereotypical shoujo romance, I recommend some of these!

Filler post: All the Mua test doodles I did ~last week. Since I hadn't really drawn them that much, I wanted to figure out rough ideas for the face/hair shapes while sketching. Some of these expressions aren't very in-character, but learning what doesn't work is also important.
i was struggling with her expression, but it seemed to fit after changing the setting to night time
