Drew myself in some nice sergal armor. Thought that it'd be cool if half the armor was copper and the other half something silver-ish. Tried my best to mess with gradients and do some cool lighting, over all I think I did good.

Yeah, I reckon it depends on the value of the colours mixed. That still is the same these days with sharp LCD screens to be honest. Colours close in value will blend nicely.

Here is an Amiga 500 pic by me, where the bg gradient is just 2 colours and it blends fine.

ye just a little. i try to leave the lineart more opaque than where i erase so you dont lose the shape of the piece. i usually try to keep it real subtle and gradiented but that part depends on your style. heres a close up on my model to reference
