The scientific aspect is somewhat similar to what Singular point, even if they are pretty different at the end.
Just me. Or does anyone else remember the Danish-German-Irish animated film from early 2000s "Help! I'm a Fish", it was a big aspect of my childhood, but I never heard anyone talk about it - and had actually really good animation and design... on top of a really wacky premise.

I think it's important to remember and I keep forgetting about it sometimes, especially when trying to push myself into making technically better artwork and all my resources go to the technical aspect of the picture...
