His arms and neck show that he's even facing more sideways in DX than he was in BIS.
Aside from Being off-model, I feel like most issues stem from the fact that Bowser's battle sprites are based on Paper Jam's.
Bowser's stance is very hunched over in his BISDX battle stance.
Meanwhile his overworld stance is much closer to his original battle stance.
The smile is likely different cause they wanna stay on model. However, Bowser Jr's Journey features off-model sprites of Jr, so I find it strange that Bowser himself can't exaggerate as much.
]Lots of Bowser's animations in BISDX looked uncanny and less lively due to the lack of expression and weight in his movement
While I cannot fix the weight & punch of his animations, I attempted to fix his smile.
*Ignore the body, I would have to do so much more to improve it
