i ended up going with the texture on the left for the final look, but i feel like I want something that looks more like the second image.
the only reason i didn't go with the second image was because the sharp edges made the fire look too chaotic..and idk how to fix it atm

Allison was first named Ally- the short form of her name (that is sometimes used in the comic). I thought Ally was a pretty name. Later I went on to research the "long version" of the name Ally and I ended up naming my main character of my comic Allison!
