I’ve been experimenting with a kind of softer style these past days

To most, today is just 3/29. For Celeste... it's her 3rd birthday! (And it looks like someone came to greet her!)

I experimented a bit with this piece by using a crayon-like brush to give off a softer, more intimate feeling.

I used the brush, pencil, and water color in sai on default settings for this. Water color to soften, brush to push colors together and then pencil when I wanted the color I was using and not a mix because I was painting on very few layers.

Oo she's cute! I see where you're going with her, but there's too many vibrant colors clashing with her fur that may be too saturated. I recommend going for softer pinks like this for example. (Credit to the artist)
