What a sad day, Kazuki Takahashi was a key figure who shaped many of our childhoods. His artwork and storytelling was unlike any other. I'm sure we remember the excitement of holding a Blue Eyes card for the first time, or seeing Yugi transform into Yami Yugi. RIP King of Games.

RIP Kazuki Takahashi. Man created a big part of my childhood, there was a time where my life was nothing but Yugioh. Watching the anime every saturday morning, and playing the game w/friends at school so much that our teachers started confiscating our decks. You will be missed.

Gone in such a sudden fashion. RIP Kazuki Takahashi. One of my largest inspirations when I was young. He really pushed the imagination with his fantastical monster designs and created some of anime's most iconic hairstyles - to a point of it being a comedic trope.

Rip Kazuki, this was hard news to take in that I didn't see coming. I'm very thankful for the impact that he's left with Yu-Gi-Oh. I'm especially grateful for growing up with Yu-Gi-Oh during my childhood. One of my favorite series to date thank you for creating this masterpiece

RIP Kazuki Takahashi. Yugioh was a gateway for me into comics as well as card games. The game is so communal and his manga has always demanded my respect, he drew like no one else and made his comics so relatable it was no wonder it became so huge.

RIP to Kazuki Takahashi. I’m honestly just shocked and crying.

He brought so many wonderful memories into my life. Without Yu-Gi-Oh! I wouldn’t be who I am today. I remember writing to him as a kid through a Shonen Jump Q&A section. I was so nervous. I hope my words reached him.
