Oriental Legend (Arcade, 1997) is based on the Chinese novel 'Journey to the West.' It's got slick animation, bright graphics, varied characters, and an inventory system. Some of the bosses and magic specials are just plain insane.

BotCon 1997 was the 1st year Transformers fans not only got an exclusive convention comic, but also a box set of toys!

The exclusives that year were Fractyl, a Predacon geochemist, and Packrat, a Maximal thief.

the main problem with using the internet archive's wayback machine to go to websites from 1997 is that sometimes you forget exactly how fucking 1997 they were and then it just slaps you in the face
