In order to help me get shapes, proportions, and angles right for my sets and ships, I often build them in 3D and shoot my own reference material. Here's an example, with my hero ship, the HCS Splendor, alongside a Squillid ship, launching a whole bunch of landers to board it.
@Adabear_Art My fursona looks like a basic doberman (on top of that I'm bald). Usually a big indicator could be hair for Black people since there's a lot of cultural identity tied to it. So usually I try to include that sort of coding into my own characters.
