Oh absolutely, it's very good to know how you want your readers eyes to flow along a composition.

Here is a drawing I made in 2018, it is very cramped and WAY too many glowing things to look at, it's rambunctious to say the least.

Oh digital, absolutely. I have a pack of space brushes I LOVE to use for glow effects, plus the layers and editing is so handy and quick, replicable, and to me just more fun!
And I'm always finding new ways to use brushes in ways besides their intended use!

Effects are my FAVE! <3 I love bright glows, and I often incorporate them into my typography to give off FX (such as the loud, psychological dementia below). As well, using them overwhelmingly or sparingly can give off different messages, such as the-

I recently read a blog about the reliability of a character versus empathizing with their struggles. I think it depends on the reader, but ultimately it's just an idea I want to chuck at the world. Not everyone will relate with my protagonist's struggle.
