Karen Arthur's "The Mafu Cage" at the 2018 Music Box of Horrors at was a twisted & insane film. The audience loved it. The story was wild, the symbolism heavy and the sound design chilling. One of the weirdest films I've seen in a while. Simply incredible.

It has excellent use of symbolism and the comic form to express the difficulty of fitting in to an environment that's seemingly welcoming. Both Eve's surreal and more grounded stylistic choices are used to great (and emotional) effect.
