Sometimes I make a character like Morales in Ray Fox because the narrative needs someone like him, then he gets really popular/important down the line.

Then there's characters like Fritz who doesn't have a story (yet), but I just wanted a Goblin chick because I like Goblins, lol

If I could change one thing about Gen 2 it'd be to combine the hoothoot and natu lines into one 3 stage line. They're both already really similar "Mind birds that start out as bird orbs" so combining them would shave off redundancy and improve their low stats.
