On part au Japon pour découvrir le Shin-Hanga (1915 à 1962). Cette orientation de l'art japonais se caractérise par le renouvellement de la gravure japonaise traditionnelle.

La direction de Shin-Hanga combinait des éléments empruntés à l'Occident et aux techniques japonaises.
