@nekoakumii I originally was inspired by the Sonic series, and was (still is) a Sonic artist for a very long time. I only recently started drawing anime stuff. But I wanted to pursue art as a career for a long time. It just feels right for me. And now that vtubers are a thing it helped more
“Ugly” art doesn’t have to look bad. Take .@SlimeGoonsNFT for example. There’s a *lot* of work that went into these. There’s a lot to look at, tons of details to soak in. And a pleasing use of colors and “glow” effects. Neat stuff.

I think this trend started because all these Japanese artists have such radically different interpretations of Kirby's character from each other. So one of them made the template, and people are going off.
No idea, though, 'cause I can't read the language!
